Garmisch Partenkirchen

Went on a 5 day trip to Garmisch Partenkirchen last week. Beautiful landscapes, lots of lakes and stunning panoramas. I love the alps! Let me show you some of my shots from there:

Beautiful Eibsee reflection

The beautiful huge natural lake Eibsee has a lot to see. You will get magnificent views at the foot of Mount Zugspitze and it is absolutely worth to go there when you’re in Garmisch

Winter sports dosen't has to do with snow

There are lots of parachuters in the area around Garmisch.

Riessersee is very close to the house mountain of Garmisch.

You have to hike a bold path from Garmisch village up to this small lake Riessersee. You can also go there by car or have a walk through the forest which is next to this spot.

Winter reflections at Eibsee

Eibsee might be the most beautiful winter lake I’ve ever seen so far. You really should go there. I went there three times during my fife day trip to Garmisch and I really want to go there again.

Blue hour in Garmisch

Took this shot with a 200 mm Lense from Garmisch downtown right after sunset. The moon was already there when the sun went down

Eibsee long time exposure right after sunset

Blue hour at lake Eibsee. Details like the frozen water and the snow mountain range in the back let you guess how cold it was after the sun went down. The starssky is photoshopped and the moon as well. I shooted with 20 seconds exposure time. In the original image you could see the clouds and the moon moved during my shot, so it looked smudged and I had to change both of them.

Faked the sun in Photoshop because I over exposed the sky in the original photo. I created a sun glare over it as well.
